The Rennell Gerygone is a small thornbill relative found on Rennell Island in the Solomon Islands. It was formerly included in Fan-tailed Gerygone.
It is olive-green above, with a greyer head, whitish throat and upper breast, and sulphur-yellow flanks and belly. Females are paler; juveniles are yellow below.
It uses habitats from forests to semi-open country, from sea level to hills. It supposedly eats insects and other small invertebrates, and repeatedly gives a staccato burst of about four notes.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
