This small monarch flycatcher occurs in Fiji. It uses moist forest and may also live in well-wooded parks and gardens.
It is about 12–13 cm long, with slaty-gray plumage that is darker above, a prominent white eye-ring, and a black tail with broad white tips.
It eats insects and some fruit, foraging in the forest middle story and subcanopy. It sometimes joins mixed-species flocks and is sedentary.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
