The Restless Flycatcher catches insects over open woodland and farmland. When hawking prey, it can appear to hover with its head pointing down.
Adults have a blue-black head with a small crest and a white belly. Young birds have an orange-brown wash on the head and back.
It is usually alone or in pairs and catches flying insects in the air. While hunting, it may hover with its head and spread tail pointing down.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
