The collared sprite is a poorly known bat recognized by a golden-brown band around the throat. It was first recorded in China in Guizhou Province in 2015.
The individual collected in Guizhou in 2015 had nearly black fur and a distinct ochraceous collar running from the base of the ears across the throat.
During a Guizhou survey, one female was caught on 15 September 2015 in a harp trap set above a small stream. This is one capture record, not evidence that the species always uses stream edges.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
