The Taiwan broad-muzzled bat is a small insect-eating bat found in Taiwan. It is recorded mainly in forests, and maternity colonies have also been found in buildings.
Its coat is long and shaggy. The back is dark slate-brown with lighter hair tips; the dark-brown underside has golden-tipped hairs. The pointed ears have a sharp notch along the rear edge.
It occurs in broadleaf and mixed conifer forests and in urban areas, mostly at 1,000–3,000 m. It is nocturnal, active throughout the year, and insectivorous. Maternity colonies occur in buildings, but natural day roosts are not known.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
