A small white-eye found only on Mauritius, where nectar is its main food.
The upperparts are dull olive-green, the underparts are paler, and a white ring circles each eye.
It lives in pairs and defends a territory. Its long bill probes among flowers and foliage for nectar, insects and small fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
