This small golden mole has no visible tail, and its eyes are covered by skin. It moves through dunes and searches for food at night.
Its body is flattened from top to bottom, with no externally visible tail. Skin covers its eyes, and the fur on its back is pale grayish yellow with a silvery sheen.
It is solitary and mainly nocturnal. In dunes it rests beneath the sand during the day, then runs over the surface or dives into the sand at night to find termites and other prey.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
