This entry uses the current combination *Phylloscopus whistleri* rather than the pool's older *Seicercus whistleri*. It occurs in mountain regions around the Himalayas and forages for insects in forest understory.
The crown has a green central stripe flanked by gray stripes. The bird is generally green with a yellowish eye-ring.
During the breeding season it uses cool temperate forest and forages in the understory for flies and larvae. Another current account describes broadleaf evergreen forest and bamboo thickets where it gleans invertebrates.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
