The Emerald Starling is a West African starling with a restricted range in savanna woodland and open woodland.
Adults are glossy green with a purple patch running from behind the eye toward the side of the neck and a purplish belly. The sexes are similar; juveniles are duller.
It eats fruit and insects, foraging on the ground and in trees, usually in small flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
