Robinson's Mouse Opossum is a small marsupial with large ears and dark markings around the eyes. Current records extend from western Panama through Colombia to northern Venezuela and nearby islands.
It has large ears and dark markings around the eyes. Its back ranges from yellowish brown to gray, the underside is pale, and its long slender tail can grasp branches.
Trapping records suggest that it is active at night and uses trees. These are inferences from capture records, not confirmed by direct behavioral observations.
The 2010 taxonomic revision records specimens of this species from lowland and montane moist forest, lowland dry forest, mangroves, savannahs, and xeric shrublands.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
