This small rat-kangaroo has a long, narrow muzzle and gray to chestnut fur on its back. It lives where forest-floor cover is dense.
The back ranges from gray to chestnut and the belly is pale; some individuals have a white tail tip.
It is active on the ground at night and digs with its forefeet for fungi, roots, tubers, and other food.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
