The Long-footed Potoroo is a forest-dwelling marsupial of southeastern Australia. It has long hind feet and eats many underground fungi.
Compared with the Long-nosed Potoroo, it is larger and has longer hind feet relative to its head.
One study found that underground fungi made up much of its diet. In a three-year East Gippsland study, fungi averaged 91% of food remains, but the kinds of fungi eaten varied by season and place.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
