The Banana African climbing mouse is a small rodent recorded in moist habitats across parts of western, central, and eastern Africa. Its back stripe and belly color vary.
The underside is white, and some individuals have a dark stripe along the back. The stripe and white belly are not always distinct.
It favors moist habitats and is often found in open areas near rainforest rather than in dense forest itself.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
