The Botswanan long-eared bat is a small bat distributed across central and southern Africa. Its back is brown, while the underside is paler.
The soft fur is slightly shaggy over the rump. The back varies from reddish through chocolate to pale brown. The underside grades from creamy brown on the chin to cream or white near the pelvis. The broad, roughly triangular ears contain a large triangular tragus.
It is usually found over or near water in riverine woodland or woodland savanna. Malawi records also include streams and lakes in montane and submontane evergreen forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
