This East African bat was described from Marsabit National Park in Kenya. The paper discusses records from montane forest and dry savanna woodland; Ethiopian and Guinean specimens without genetic data were only tentatively assigned.
The medium-brown dorsal fur has light yellowish-brown tips. The underside is cream-white to light cream-brown with a dark base, and the ears are short and rounded.
Confirmed records in the paper came from wet or mesic montane forest and dry savanna woodland, all above 1,000 m.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
