The Grey-headed Kingfisher is a migratory kingfisher that hunts insects in woodland south of the Sahara, diving to the ground from a perch.
Its grey head is the feature reflected in its name.
It dives from a perch to catch insects, especially grasshoppers, and digs a tunnel nest in a riverbank or similar bank.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
