The Guianan Bearded Saki occurs in the Guianas and northern Brazil. It has reddish-brown body fur, dark head, tail and lower limbs, a beard, and rounded crown tufts. Species accounts describe a seed-heavy diet that shifts seasonally toward insects, flowers, and fruit.
Most of the body is reddish brown, while the head, tail, and lower limbs are usually dark. Longer shoulder and arm fur can form a cape-like outline. Both sexes have a beard, and rounded tufts rise on the crown.
The species account describes use of non-flooded terra firme rainforest and a diet centered on seeds. In seasons when fruit is scarce, insects, flowers, and mature fruit can become more important. Movement and feeding patterns vary by study site and group.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
