This bat is known from Indochina. Its original description notes dark brown fur and rounded ears; two males were later recorded on a forest path in northeastern India.
The fur on the back and belly is dark brown, with the tipward third of each hair a lighter yellowish brown. The ears are rounded and dark, and the thumb has a large pink pad.
On 25 October 2025, two males were caught at Chhiahtlang on a forest path along a hillside in Mizoram, northeastern India: one in a harp trap across the path and one in a nearby mist net.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
