This fruit-eating dove lives on islands in the Solomon Islands. It stands out for its silver head and green and orange plumage.
Adults have a silvery-grey crown, dark green upperparts, pink shoulder patches, and an orange belly. Females are duller, with more grey on the head, neck, and breast and less orange on the belly.
It searches for fruit in fruiting trees and high in the canopy. It is usually alone, in pairs, or in small groups, but larger groups may gather at trees with abundant fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
