The Rose-crowned Fruit Dove has a pink crown and green back and feeds on fruit. It swallows fruit whole in the canopy, where it may be detected by its call or by fruit dropping below.
This compact dove has a short tail and rounded wings. Its deep pink crown is edged behind by a narrow yellow stripe; the upper body is bright green, while the underparts include orange, yellow, and a rose-colored patch.
It feeds in the rainforest canopy, swallowing fruit whole. It particularly likes figs and fruit from palms and vines, and forages alone, in pairs, or in small parties.
