This small leaf warbler breeds from eastern Afghanistan through northern Pakistan to northwestern India, then winters in Pakistan and north-central India.
It is a small warbler with a large-headed appearance, yellow on the face, breast, and crown stripe, a dark bill with a pale base, and at least one white wingbar.
It forages restlessly in the mid-canopy of spruce and fir in summer, and in dry scrub in winter.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
