This bat is known from one male collected in northeastern Iran. It has brown dorsal fur and a pale cream underside, and ants were the main remains in that animal's faecal pellets.
The dorsal hairs are dark at their bases and brown at their tips. The belly fur is pale cream, and the neck is pale ochre.
The adult male holotype was collected in alluvial forest in Golestan Province. Four faecal pellets from this single animal contained mostly ant remains; this is an individual food record.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
