The Mauritanian Shrew is small, with a greyish-brown back and white underside. Even the older specialist literature contains very little natural history information.
It has a greyish-brown back and white underside, with white chin, feet and areas behind the ears. Long white hairs cover the underside of the tail.
A 1983 specialist monograph states that no natural history information was available for this species. Its feeding and reproduction cannot be described from that source.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
