A macaque of the humid tropical forests of northeastern Sulawesi and nearby islands in Indonesia.
Its fur and face are black, its rump is pink, and the hair on its crown sweeps back like a crest.
It eats fruit, young leaves, flowers and insects. It lives in groups, and males may move to another group.
