The visored bat is small, with cinnamon-brown fur and fleshy growths on its face. Its behavior is undocumented; one examined stomach resembled yellow fruit pulp, but this single observation does not establish its usual diet.
There is no external tail. The back is cinnamon brown and the underparts brownish white. Fleshy growths project from the sides of the face; the horn-like nasal growth is larger in males. A fold under the chin can be rolled over the face.
No behavior has been described in the cited literature. Food habits are unknown, although the stomach of one examined specimen resembled yellowish fruit pulp.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
