The Orange-fronted Fruit Dove lives in lowlands near the coast of New Guinea. It has a large orange patch on the forehead and a grey collar, and mainly eats fruit.
A large orange patch marks the forehead and front of the crown. It has a white throat, broad ash-grey collar, dark green upperparts, and an olive belly.
It takes fruit directly from trees and palms. Figs made up a large share of the food in a study near Port Moresby.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
