This titi monkey occurs in lowland forests of southern Colombia. It feeds on fruits, seeds, and young leaves in remaining forest, with reddish fur around the face and throat like a beard.
A faint gray-agouti band crosses the forehead, and the crown is light buff-brown. Chestnut to reddish fur on the cheeks, throat, underside, and inner limbs frames the dark face like a beard.
It has been observed in humid lowland forest fragments and swampy forest. Field diet records include fruits, seeds, and young leaves, with use of vegetation near forest edges and waterways.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
