A slow loris from Sumatra, recorded in primary forest in Aceh in the north of the island in 2007. Two specimens examined by Lyon had brown or dull ochre upperparts.
Lyon’s 1906 account of the species named by Stone and Rehn in 1902 describes two specimens, the type and a paratype. One had wood-brown, frosted upperparts; the other was dull ochraceous. The dark dorsal stripe faded toward the rear, the face markings were dull russet, and the underparts were dirty buff.
A survey of five sites in the Ulu Masen Forest Complex, Aceh, northern Sumatra, in 2007 confirmed this loris at one primary-forest site. The survey used the name Nycticebus coucang hilleri.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
