The Daurian Pika is a small herbivore with short legs and rounded ears. It digs burrows in steppe and semi-desert habitats and feeds on vegetation.
It has short rounded ears and a greatly reduced tail. Its summer coat is straw-grey; in winter the fur grows longer, denser and paler.
It uses burrow systems with multiple entrances and feeds on plants in grasslands and shrub cover. It may dig its own burrows or use abandoned ones.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
