This small Australasian warbler occurs along Australian coasts. The Australian banding account covers two subspecies; a Darwin study found it using tidal-creek mangroves and shrubs around bare salt flats.
Adults have a broad off-white supercilium, a red-brown to dark-red iris and light-brown sides of the neck. The sexes have no obvious plumage differences.
In a Darwin-area study, it nested mainly in shrubs along the edges of bare salt flats and foraged in both salt-flat margins and mangroves along tidal creeks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
