The buffy saki occurs in Amazonas State in northern Brazil. It eats many fruits and can obtain seeds from fruits with hard coverings.
Its coat is mainly beige, with pale orange tones on the inner limbs; parts of the back and the tail are black-haired.
Fruit is a major food. One study reported that it made up about 80 percent of the diet, and the animals also used seeds from hard-pericarp fruits.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
