Myoictis leucura is a marsupial of New Guinea. A 2005 museum paper describes its three dark dorsal lines and white tail tip as diagnostic and maps specimen records in the southern Central Cordillera of Papua New Guinea.
The back is dark reddish brown and the underside is lighter. Three dark lines run along the back, with brighter red fur between them; the tail tip is white.
The 2008 IUCN species assessment records it from primary lowland and montane forest in New Guinea.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
