The Little Spiderhunter probes flowers with its long, curved bill for nectar and small insects. It is often found in the lower forest storey near flowering bananas and ginger.
It has a pale grey head, grey throat, yellow belly, olive-yellow upperparts, and a long, slender bill.
It forages alone or in pairs in the lower storey, taking nectar and insects, including insects from spider webs. Flowering wild bananas and ginger are common feeding sites.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
