This opossum is recorded in the Amazonian lowlands of southeastern Colombia, eastern Ecuador, and northeastern Peru. It has dull gray-brown, relatively short dorsal fur.
The back is dull grayish brown, while most hairs on the underside are gray at their base. A short section at the tail base is furred.
A few captures are reported from lowland forest in Peru’s Allpahuayo-Mishana Reserve, where the site had a tall canopy and an understory with palms and lianas. The authors describe the forest association as tentative.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
