The Black-and-white Warbler is a small songbird with bold black-and-white stripes. It creeps along trunks and branches, searching bark for insects.
Its bold stripes and white bars on black wings stand out. Males have darker streaking than females; females and young birds are paler and may show buff on the flanks.
It creeps up, down and around trunks and branches to find insects in the bark. Although it forages in trees, it nests on the ground at the base of a tree.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
