Its back is cinnamon-brown and its underside paler. This Brazilian bat feeds mainly on nectar and is recorded in a limited region where the semiarid Caatinga meets the Atlantic Forest.
The dorsal fur is cinnamon-brown with pale hair bases, while the underside is pale to light brown, creating a clear contrast.
Skull and tooth shape indicate that it feeds mainly on nectar. It also eats insects; fruits and pollen are possible foods. It probably roosts in hollow trees or small caves, often in small groups.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
