Francis's horseshoe bat is a rarely recorded species known from Sabah and Kalimantan on Borneo. The 2015 paper listed six records available at that time.
Its noseleaf is dark brown with small lateral lappets. The fur is pale cream at the base and gray-brown at the tips.
Bornean records came from both undisturbed and logged evergreen forest. The few available records leave its ecology incompletely known.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
