This titi monkey was described from Mato Grosso, Brazil. The paper notes a grayish back, red-brown underside, and black tail with a pale tip.
The back is agouti gray, while the sides of the face, throat, and underside are bright red-brown. Pale-yellow cheeks contrast with the face; a black forehead stripe and black tail with a pale-gray tip are also described.
The description places the species in forest between rivers in Mato Grosso, but does not give detailed feeding or daily-behavior observations. The authors say the southern edge of its range needs more surveys.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
