The Ziama horseshoe bat is a medium-sized bat with a noseleaf. The account documents just two localities, one in Guinea and one in Liberia, both at about 600 m elevation.
The posterior noseleaf is roughly triangular with an erect tip. Its fur is described as long, soft, and woolly.
It was netted near degraded forest in Guinea and in undisturbed high forest in Liberia; both documented capture sites were about 600 m above sea level.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
