Handley's Nectar Bat is a South American bat with an elongated muzzle. A forest study in Peru reported Cecropia seeds in fecal samples as evidence of fruit consumption.
The original description reports an elongated muzzle, a short tail, and a sparse fringe of hair along the edge of the tail membrane.
Fecal samples collected near Pampa Hermosa, Peru, contained Cecropia seeds. The study reported this as evidence that the species consumes fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
