This small opossum is recorded mainly in the Guiana region north of the Amazon and east of the Rio Negro, chiefly in lowland rainforest.
The back is dusty reddish-brown. The underside is extensively white, from the chin to the anus.
Most recorded specimens came from lowland rainforest, at elevations from near sea level to about 500 m. The source focuses on specimens and range, not detailed daily behavior or diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
