  • Rote Leaf-warbler Phylloscopus rotiensis

The Rote Leaf-warbler was described from Rote Island, Indonesia. A 2018 study reports its appearance and behavior from observations on the island.

  • Boyaca Antpitta Grallaria alticola

This antpitta occurs in Colombia's eastern Andes. The 2023 eBird taxonomy update treats it as separate from Tawny Antpitta (Grallaria quitensis). Todd's 1919 description of the adult male type records a dark back and ochre underparts with white mottling. A December 2025 field report records it foraging at Sumapaz National Park.

  • Socotra Sparrow Passer insularis

The Socotra Sparrow is a sparrow of Yemen’s Socotra Archipelago. This entry follows BirdLife’s treatment of Passer insularis as a species.

The Samoan Flycatcher is restricted to Samoa. It is found in open forest, forest edges, village gardens, and mangrove edges, where it makes short sallies to catch insects in the air.

  • Marquesan Kingfisher Todiramphus godeffroyi

The Marquesan Kingfisher was recorded on Tahuata in the Marquesas Islands by a 2011 survey. In forest it eats insects and small lizards and nests in tree cavities.
