This vole lives in mountain meadows surrounded by pine-oak forest and changes its plant foods with the seasons.

This diurnal nuthatch uses cliffs and rocky gorges and searches tree bark for invertebrates. Where it overlaps with the Western Rock Nuthatch, the black eye-stripe widening behind the eye is a useful clue.
- Bornean Mountain Ground Squirrel Dremomys everetti
This squirrel occurs in the mountains of Borneo. Stomach contents from 26 Mount Trus specimens were mostly insects, with fruit, nuts, leaves, and shoots also recorded. The current Mammal Diversity Database uses Sundasciurus everetti, while ADW retains the older genus.

This hummingbird has a green body with a shimmering violet-blue throat and breast. In eastern Peru it visits flowers at forest edges and secondary growth, and also catches small insects in flight.
