The Cebu Flowerpecker was rediscovered on Cebu Island in 1992. A field record described a family group of a male, female, and juvenile in the trees of a forest patch.
The male has a vivid red patch on the back and a white line between the dark upper face and grey throat. The female is duller than the male.
In a 1992 observation, a male called often and moved among branches while foraging in a tree. Fruit feeding was not seen during that observation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
