This small opossum inhabits wet montane forest in the northern Andes. It uses its long tail to climb through vegetation.
Its dorsal fur is brown to gray-brown and its underside is white with gray hair bases. The light-brown face has black eye rings, and the hairless prehensile tail is about as long as the body.
It primarily occupies wet montane forest. Although partly arboreal, it favors covered areas on or near the forest floor, is crepuscular and nocturnal, and eats insects and other arthropods, flowers, fruit, and small vertebrates.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
