The lesser brown horseshoe bat is a medium-sized horseshoe bat found from Thailand through mainland Southeast Asia and nearby islands. Detailed life-history information is limited.
A large noseleaf covers much of the muzzle. The dorsal fur is light yellow-brown at the base and reddish cinnamon-brown above; the underparts are paler.
It generally roosts in caves and sometimes shares them with other bat species. The available account says that other parts of its life history are little known.
