The big-eared opossum is a marsupial with bare black ears and a dark line down the middle of its forehead. It is nocturnal and uses both the ground and trees.
A black line runs down the middle of its forehead, and its ears are black and hairless. Its yellowish fur has black or gray tips; the long prehensile tail is furred near the base.
It is nocturnal and usually solitary. Although it spends much of its time on the ground, its long forelimbs and claws help it climb trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
